I will not support institutions that jeopardize my future by funding fossil fuel extraction. I will not support institutions that finance projects that violate the human rights and land rights of Indigenous peoples around the world.
Thus, I hereby pledge that once I am financially autonomous (manage my own banking) I will not bank with RBC, TD, BMO, CIBC or Scotiabank. I will open my first account with an alternative institution, and I will close any accounts I have with the Big 5.
